Was it ever not clear?
The opening to China was supposedly just a move to counter the Soviet Union.
The later trade initiatives were supposedly intended to make them see the error of their ways and become happy little market capitalists who had smiley faced socialism just like Sweden.
Only fools would believe any of that within a year or two of the adoption of those policies. It was clear to anyone paying attention that it was insane.
In the meantime, millions of their people - MILLIONS - simply occupied our country, as if that was a right.
Did we do the same to Shanghai? Beijing? Or even the formerly British enclave called “Hong Kong”?
Nope. Those places are even more Chinese racist then ever before. Now they can boast that they took our industries away, AND they rule us here through their citizens who live here but still owe their loyalty to the Motherland.
So what’s so ‘free’ about the Free World when a bunch of grim faced inmposters claim to be ‘us’ and do things like make laws to confiscate our weapons, favor their children over ours, and demand that we allocate land and jobs to them?
