"if young people really care about social justice, they shouldnt downplay and justify looting. They ought to understand that no matter the cause, violating property rights isnt progressive at all."
More rioting and looting broke out in American cities this week. This time, it was Philadelphia consumed by violence after a police shooting.
According to ABC News, at least 30 police officers have been injured in the violent unrest, while dozens of people have been arrested for rioting or vandalism. Mobs have descended on Walmart and rushed out carrying TVs, while other agitators ransacked Footlocker for new sneakers. The full number of businesses ravaged by the destruction is increasing and still being tallied.
This latest outbreak simply adds to the thousands of businesses, from Chicago to Minneapolis and beyond, that have been rioted, ransacked, burned down, or looted in the ongoing period of political unrest over police brutality, both real and imagined. All told, the damage from rioting in recent months will exceed any past period of civil unrest in American history, with even modest under-estimates putting the total cost at up to $2 billion.
The outbreak of mass rioting and looting across America is alarming in its own right, but equally chilling is the publics support for the violence. As first reported by the Washington Examiners Paul Bedard, a new poll finds that college students in particular overwhelmingly believe that rioting and looting is justified.
One key finding from the poll was that 64 percent of college students agreed that the recent rioting and looting is justified to some degree. Only 28 percent disagreed with this assessment.

And where do they live exactly?
Walk up to them and snatch their iphone out of their hand and tell them it is social justice. 65% will be ok with that.
Torch the Unis.
They are of no further use.
As a side-effect, the student loan “problem” will be eventually solved, going forward.
Thou shalt not steal... pray for their eternal souls.
65% of College students at least need to be deprogrammed.
Until it happens to them.
It isn’t a surprising statistic from a population that more often than previously doesn’t work at all; I’d expect similar ratings from welfare recipients.
So is someone calling for the elimination of 65% of college students?
Fitst ————any name of any person of color no longer living who was in any police officer involved death means “they killed, murdered, slaughtered an unarmed man...” And justification for days of riots and looting.
Now it will be “the illegitimate Trump election result is the spur to go to the streets and burn down America in retaliation.”
Students will agree.
Screw ‘em.
We are not supposed to use the word “riot.” The politically correct term is “unrest.” If you do not want to be subjected to content moderation you must use the right words. Whatever you do, do not accuse the left of censorship. /s
And beating rioters faces in is justified too.
I’m a millennial, and this seems accurate. Two out of three “think” looting is kinda sorta maybe excusable. Onna counta everything’s relative.
Meanwhile one in three is incompletely assimilated.
I should have added, that’s college students. Never-been-colleged people, much more sensible.
Then said looters would be justified in getting shot dead on sight.
Same logic applies.
Walk up to them and snatch their iphone out of their hand and tell them it is social justice.
Did something like that once to someone who said property is theft in front of me. Looked at him and said I want you phone and your wallet right now.
His girlfriend started to snicker. He shut his cake hole and left soon after.
Alone.

One hundred percent of my very rural neighborhood believes giving rioters & looters a dirt nap is justified.
College today is basically an extension of high school when it comes to social acceptability. You know how it was in high school. The most important thing was to “fit in”. Since the overwhelming majority of teachers and students at colleges today are liberal, naturally the lemmings fall in line to “fit in”. Never mind independent or critical thought.
This is the end-result of turning the public school system over to liberals - college students have been indoctrinated in white guilt and leftist excuses for violence since primary school. If conservatives are to have any hope of avoiding a socialist USA by the year 2050, they must fight to take back the public school system.
> 64 percent of college students agreed that the recent rioting and looting is justified to some degree. <
Those last three words kinda make this a push-poll. Im guessing that whoever wrote that statement has some sort of agenda.
A fairer question would be: Is the recent rioting and looting justified?
That would tell us a lot more.
