Squeamishness Shouldn't Stop Americans from Voting to Save Their Country

The real tragedy of this upcoming election is not just our inability to separate the politician from his shortcomings (the so-called "shiny object"), but that many of us may not have been given a full picture of how we got here. How has Donald Trump's base remained so steady? And why do I believe that anyone who supports Trump's agenda for America are making a critical error when they abstain from voting for the man simply because they're turned off by his crudeness?

Trump's nomination was a direct response to an unpopular Bush presidency and a materialistic Romney campaign. It was more a reaction to the establishment and the media in particular. The secret sauce of MAGA — patriotism, Republican Party disillusionment, and contempt for our national media — has succeeded directly as a counter-measure against one of the levers of power in America, particularly the mainstream media.

If MAGA were a religion (you mean a cult!), a prophet would be Andrew Breitbart. The following quote from 2010 helps establish the MAGA zeitgeist:

The mainstream media portray themselves as objective observers of reality, when they're no such thing. They're partisan critical theory hacks, and have nothing but contempt for the American people. They declared war on us; we did not declare war on them. We have an obligation to fight back!

Twenty sixteen could have been a vital wakeup call and time for reflection in America. Instead, after the heated campaign, while Trump extended a gracious olive branch, his opponents, both in and out of government, both Republican and Democrat, were orchestrating the worst scandal of sabotage of a presidential transition in our nation's history.

Donald J. Trump can be rude, he can be crude, but he is pretty darned shrewd.

Even if he is rough, and gruff, he is still plenty tough.

Shrewd and tough are the qualities the nation NEEDS going forward. After all, we would not the year 2020 repeated endlessly, would we?

And that is the very best that the Harris/Biden ticket could ever deliver. No matter WHAT they promise. They never mean to keep those promises anyway.

Bottom line, people are mammals.

They are stupid and easily manipulated.

Say you’re a Bison.

You’re out there roaming around on the plain, free.

...but the head of the Bison society has convinced you the pen is a better option. Protection from rain and a constant supply of gourmet cornmeal.

What he didn’t mention was the slaughter house just up the road. You know, that big white building with the green metal roof where your relatives go in and only semi-trucks come out.

Half this country want the pen.

It gets me to hear people say “He’s not presidential...”

Yes, he is...He’s the President, therefore he IS presidential...

He’s not “polished” as a speaker....

So you would rather have a polished, smooth talker than someone who hits home with the truth???

I can’t stand “politicspeak” which we hear from “professional politicians” all day long...

President Trump speaks just like most everyone else just walking down the street...That’s what is refreshing about him....

After decades of polished smooth talkers in the Oval Office who talked out both sides of their mouth, I find Trump’s lack of polish and plain speaking refreshing.

"Trump's nomination was a direct response to an unpopular Bush presidency and a materialistic Romney campaign."

NO. Once Biden passed in 2016, Hillary was going to be the candidate, even if Bernie did give her hell to pay first. Trump selected himself because he knew Americans did not want and would not accept a "Dynasty" election between Yeb! and Cankles.

The notion that Trump ran against the ghosts of Bush and Romney is garbage, other than his exposing their get-rich-quick neo-con staff structures.

Well said. These are very dangerous times. And the choice this Tuesday is between Donald “Patton” Trump and Joe “The Puppet” Biden.

Let’s hope America understands this.

They are stupid and easily manipulated.

**************

The entire U.S. advertising industry relies on that premise. Tell the people what they want to hear and its an easy sell.

One Big Ass Mistake, America. I had this as a bumper sticker on my old car, I got a lot of high fives from soldiers every time I went to Fort Campbell to go shopping at the Commissary or the PX

A little reminder of just how well bison defend themselves against the slaughterhouse.

If you want to slaughter a bison for the harvest of the beast, go out into the open plain where the bison herd are grazing, in a flatbed truck with a tilt bed and a winch. Sight in from a quarter mile away with a 30-06 rifle and a heavy enough load in the cartridge for a sure kill shot. After the bison is dropped, drive over to the carcass, and using the winch, drag it up onto the tilt bed on the truck. THEN go to the slaughterhouse to dress it out.

To simply drive the bison into a slaughterhouse is to invite the bison to batter the whole edifice to rubble and walk away.

Even a bison pen has to be of pretty durable construction, worthy of being a boundary barrier between neighboring countries. Anything less, the bison wants something on the other side, he just pushes down a fence more flimsy than that.

Here is Trump in his own words right just now as to exactly why he ran:

"The last Administration was no good. Period."
