US Navy Secretary Kenneth Braithwaite says China poses a greater threat to the US than many Americans realize

--

The Cold War gauntlet has been dropped. The ultimate fear scenario, unleashed.

And it’s all about China.

It’s them, or us, says US Navy Secretary Kenneth Braithwaite.

Speaking at an event at the US Navy Memorial SITREP speaker series in Washington, and freshly back from a weeklong trip to the Asia-Pacific region, where he met with local leaders in Japan, Singapore, Guam and Palau, along with sailors and Marines, Braithwaite didn’t hold back.

The Navy and Marine Corps‘ top civilian leader says China poses a greater threat to the US than many Americans may realize, Military.com reported.

I agree, 100%.

Even Apple is sold out. But I am not singling out Apple, EVERYONE is sold out.

Everyone. In both parties. Democrat. Republican. For the last 30 years.

Every single person.

For more than one entire generation.

Sold out.

China will be most dangerous right before it collapses. They may even attack Taiwan in an attempt to keep the country unified.

When the collapse hits, it will be faster than the collapse of the USSR.

Our senior military leaders need to stop fretting over Trump and obsessing over PC initiatives and start focusing on real threats facing the country. Other countries are watching closely and taking stock of our readiness and resolve.

If Biden wins China will have a compromised friend in the White House that they can manipulate. Its really a scary prospect.

I had a discussion with a guy back in 1992 and he was optimistic about opening up with China. He said that it would spur on liberty for their people. I asked him how long that would take and he said 50 years. I knew he was full of chit And it’s 28 years later. How’s it looking? Not good. We should have nuked them back across the Yalu river during the Korean war. MacArthur was right.

I don’t know.

He seems to understand.

For thirty long years, EVERYONE has been selling us out to China.

Everyone.

Trump is the first to even begin to do a tiny bit.

The first.

Yeah, but my point is, EVERYONE is selling us out.

Not just Biden.

Both parties have been completely involved.

For decades.

Trump is starting to make an effort.

But we still run a TERRIBLE balance of Trade with China.

Terrible.

Even now.

Braithwaite is most likely just promoting the 500 ship Navy concept by pumping up China who many experts think is on the precipice of implosion.

Since Mattis, Esper, McRaven, and others like them, I don’t trust anything these X Admirals and Generals have to say. In most cases, and in my opinion, these guys are just trying to sign a contract for a huge check into their account each month and will say anything they are paid enough to say.

I saw this coming when we were kicked out of Subic Bay and Clark AB in the Philippines in 1991. China is now debt trapping the Philippines. They will be able to dictate to the Philippines once the debt is sufficient. They will slowly gain control of sectors in the Philippine economy. It is going to get ugly.

He’d have some credibility, if the Navy were not busy spending its budget building tens-of-billion dollar experimental ships that do not work, are needlessly complex, are defenseless, are headed to the scrapper, or are become training ships - all the while building more of some of them, and have no coherent plan for fleet operations and build out.

Thank Nixon and Clinton (and now the Bidens) for the China sell out.

Apple has not sold out. Don’t be foolish. Political and tax structures put in place by politicians forced them overseas and eventually to China just like every other electronics manufacturer, textile manufacturer, parts manufacturer - etc.

I think, Trump has put a hold on things in many ways.

For one thing, Americans realize that “made in China” is synonymous with “poor quality.”

I won’t buy a garment if it’s made in China.

Fish, chicken etc made in China? Forget it!

I really thing the people of Taiwan and other free countries will stand up to China, as will the young Chinese people.

Trump, in his second term, has the best chance of uniting this world...all people.

I buy nothing made in China. Nothing. Period.
I do without and take Shank’s mare. I have gotten rid of everything in my house that has a “made in China” on it.

Car parts are the most difficult and some plumbing parts. Haven’t gotten into electrical parts yet. I have stopped using makeup and false eyelashes. I have dumped all clothing that has anything to do with China. All cleaning supplies are not made in China. All office supplies are not made in China. I am learning to make do.

Some things are in short supply so I hunt for older, similar items and strip them out of what or where the parts I want are.

Turns out this wasn’t as hard as it appeared, initially. I don’t wear new clothes, etc. I will survive as will others who make their own, go into cahoots with their neighbors to make stuff or cannibalize from much earlier made items from the USA or any where except China.

It is a challenge. I ACCEPT THAT!!
