Obviously you are not thinking like a Christian at this moment. Whether we like it or not, in God's eyes he's as valuable as we are, and far more valuable than any animal, as flawed as he is.
HIs obviously lawyer-coached statement (I doubt if he understood half of it!) was disgusting.
It is a good statement; whether it is sincere or not is between him and his maker, and not really something we are capable of judging, or should judge, lest we be held to the same scrutiny. He may have time to demonstrate his sincerity, but only time will tell.
He has no remorse actually and would do it again in a minute.
Possibly, but you don't know that, you are not privy to his inner thoughts, only God is.
You'll only be forgiven to the extent that you forgive: "...and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive others who trespass against us..."
Screw that, you sanctimonious fool.
No thug scumbag is more valuable than any one of my four dogs in my eyes. They are loving and never hurt a human being in their lives. I would value them over any thug criminal. If I was put in a situation where I could only save their lives or that scumbag, I would choose to save them without hesitation. If that makes me un-Christian, then so be it.
A lot of people are running out of forgiveness.
