I think most states have two groups of electors, a Dem group and an R one, and they send the ones for the winning candidate to minimize the chance they’ll vote contrary to the election results.

Each candidate has his/her own set of electors. If Trump wins NY, a different set of electors (the GOP electors) will cast their votes, and Hillary won't be involved.

The real reason is for her to attempt to change the votes of Republican electors from other states, assuming NY stays RAT.

That’s not how it works. Each party on the ballot has a slate of Electors. You are actually voting for the Electors not the candidates for President/VP. If the dems take NY (likely) then Hillary votes for Biden (if he’s still alive). If Republicans win NY, Hillary doesn’t get to do anything except throw things and drink Chardonnay.
