I’ll add Fauxi to the “gone by Nov 10th” list along with Wray, Barr and others.

And how is Trump going to replace them without going through the senate? Trump has never had the opportunity to make a recess appointment. mcconnell will only let Trump pick people he has already approved of. schumer would be no better. You all think Trump can put whoever he wants wherever, but the truth is he is at the whims of the senate.

How many are aware of the existence of the permanent Bureaucracy, the “Senior Executive Service” - these are the ones who cannot be fired except under the most extreme circumstances, and usually it’s just a transfer to another position. Take ‘NYC Teacher Tenure’ and ramp it 1000-fold.

From the Federal Office of Personnel Management:

The Senior Executive Service (SES) lead America’s workforce. As the keystone of the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978, the SES was established to “...ensure that the executive management of the Government of the United States is responsive to the needs, policies, and goals of the Nation and otherwise is of the highest quality.” These leaders possess well-honed executive skills and share a broad perspective on government and a public service commitment that is grounded in the Constitution.

Members of the SES serve in the key positions just below the top Presidential appointees. SES members are the major link between these appointees and the rest of the Federal workforce. They operate and oversee nearly every government activity in approximately 75 Federal agencies...

Here is the link to more detailed demographics of the SES: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/senior-executive-service/facts-figures/#url=Demographics

I hate using Wikipedia, but it does provide a summary of which Agencies/Depts. are not in the SES:

“Up to 10% of SES positions can be filled as political appointments rather than by career employees.[2] About half of the SES is designated “Career Reserved”, which can only be filled by career employees. The other half is designated “General”, which can be filled by either career employees or political appointments as desired by the administration. Due to the 10% limitation, most General positions are still filled by career appointees.[3]

Senior level employees of several agencies are exempt from the SES but have their own senior executive positions; these include the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Central Intelligence Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency, National Security Agency, Transportation Security Administration, Federal Aviation Administration, Government Accountability Office, Members of the Foreign Service, and government corporations.”

(I need to find a list of the “government corporations” — does it include the CDC?)

So here is the point of sharing the above: PDJT issued a new Exec. Order last week on Oct.21: Executive Order on Creating Schedule F In The Excepted Service

https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/executive-order-creating-schedule-f-excepted-service/

This is the stuff that might fuel a Coup d’Etat or multiple attempts on LIfe and Limb. This EO gives the President power to actually deal with our Elite Oligarchs in the permanent positions, fire them, revise their jobs, reduce perks, whatever.
