Many thought he wasn’t serious but anyway that is what he ran on, so it isn’t surprising he knew and might have spoken to Trump about this. And yes, who in the admin gave the heads up? Of course if they already had FISA warrants and electronic eavesdropping in place, it might have just been caught electronically. Just sickening.
