“What do you mean ‘argue with them’? You act like this is ok. It is not. I’ll argue if it comes to my state...Do you think this is ok?”

I am just providing accurate and supported information on the subject of this thread. It is reportedly legal for one to change their vote if they follow the procedures set forth in the law/regulations in these 7 states. I think it is a good safeguard concerning early absentee voting and later outcoming info on candidates.

The lists of states that include Pennsylvania are inaccurate because they are based on 2016 info. Up until November, 2019, Pennsylvania had only absentee voting and not mail-in voting and the absentee ballots for a precinct were supplied to the Precinct election judge in an envelope along with other materials the day before the election. Absentee ballots were opened and fed into the tabulator at poll closing in each precinct. If someone who had sent in an absentee ballot wasn’t absent from the municipality as palnned, they could show up and have their absentee ballot “spoiled” and could vote in person. The election laws were changed in late 2019, authorizing mail-in voting. Another change was that both absentee and mail-in ballots were no longer sent to the individual precincts, but to the central county election office. Once a voter mails-in a vote, it now cannot be changed. If the voter has requested/submitted a mail-in ballot, it will be shown in the pollbook as such, and that person will not be allowed to vote in person. If the voter’s mail-in ballot has not been received by the time the pollbook is printed, it will be noted that they have received and not returned their ballot and they will be allowed to vote a provisional ballot. If, during the canvassing process, it is determined that the voter’s mail-in ballot was received after the printing of the pollbook, the provisional ballot will be discarded and the original mail-in ballot will count.
