This is what happens when Senators get their talking points from twitter.
The Senators from the DNC are some of the most clueless when it comes to the Constitution.
Just to clarify.
Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass. swore an oath to uphold a “racist” document.
They’re clueless or lying. Biden says he is going to get rid of oil by 2050. The Democrats should never control Congress or the Presidency for the next 30 years at least.
Markey misses bigtime by ignoring constitutional amendments most of which are chronogically distant from the document and first 10 amendments. For example, the 14th amendment (a post Civil War amendment) was designed to provide equal protection and due process etc under the law to newly freed slaves but has been used by activist judges to settle Roe v. Wade and many other civil rights claims. Markey is full of malarkey.
If you start from the basis that Markey is a wimpy little twerp whose only grounds for being there is his parroting the Rat party line; and then realize that in his zeal to impress his bosses he sometimes uses excessive bloviation, you’ll understand where that outburst came from. A wicked, hatefilled little anti-American heart. IMHO.
Markey, D-Mass., calling the judicial originalism "racist, sexist, homophobic and a fancy word for discrimination" is “patently irresponsible," said Sen. Mike Lee... “If you think about what he is really saying there, Sen. Markey has essentially said that our Constitution is racist. And [that] an effort to understand it, understand its words at the time they were written, is itself racist and bigoted. I can’t think of a statement that has a greater tendency to undermine the foundation of our constitutional republic. I hope, expect, and demand that Sen. Markey retract his statement. It is irresponsible; he can’t defend that," Lee said.
