Philadelphia is a shithole.

I always hated driving through that city - endless slums and endless road construction surrounding the slums. The most run-down, pathetic airport I’ve ever seen.

I left for Vietnam out of PHL. Those were the days when you could walk out on the tarmac and up the stairs into a beautiful (nearly empty) Trans World Airways 707.

Sounds like they haven’t spent any money on the airport since 1965 ☹️
