Timeline: Allegations and evidence surrounding Hunter Biden's business dealings

Documents released in the final weeks of the 2020 presidential race have shed some new light on the business dealings of former Vice President Joe Biden’s son and other relatives, but many questions remain about both the sources of the records and their relevance to Biden’s bid for the presidency.

“I have not taken a penny from any foreign source ever in my life,” Biden said during a debate with President Donald Trump last week.

Biden’s denials have not stopped Trump from demanding the Justice Department investigate his opponent for unspecified crimes or asserting that Biden is “COMPROMISED” by his family’s financial ties to China and other countries.

Earlier this month, emails allegedly recovered from a laptop that once belonged to Biden’s son Hunter were obtained by The New York Post. Subsequently, a former business partner of Hunter Biden, Tony Bobulinski, came forward to verify some of those emails and lodge his own accusations against the Bidens.

Here is what we know about Hunter Biden’s business activities and how they became intertwined with his father’s tenure as vice president and his presidential campaign.

Hunter Biden flew to Beijing with his father on Air Force Two while the vice president was on official business in China. During the visit, Hunter met with one of his business partners, a Chinese banker named Jonathan Li. Hunter and Li were both involved with Bohai Harvest RST (Shanghai) Equity Investment Fund Management Co., an investment firm that was officially registered less than two weeks after Hunter’s visit.

Hunter held an unpaid position on BHR’s board of directors while his father was in office and became a shareholder with a 10% stake in the company in Oct. 2017.

VP Biden, his son Hunter, and Hunter's daughter Finnegan, arrive in Beijing..........on an official US visit financed by taxpayers.

Throughout the tax-paid trip, Hunter Biden seemed to duck in and out, sometimes joining his father at events and red-carpet arrival ceremonies, and at other times following his own itinerary, presumably with his daughter Finnegan. As is customary, the White House did not provide details about what the vice president’s relatives were doing when they were not part of his public events.

What else Hunter Biden may have done during the tax-paid two-day stop in China is unclear. There are no indications he met with Chinese government officials. Mesires, the spokesman, said that he did not conduct any business during the tax-paid trip — including when he met with Li, the Chinese banker and his nascent business partner.

Several former White House officials who traveled with Biden on the tax-paid trip told NBC News that they didn’t know at the time that Hunter Biden had any business interests in China and were unaware of his private schedule while in Beijing.

Reporters along for the trip also indicated no one was aware of Hunter's mega business deal in China.

Twelve days after Hunter stepped off Air Force Two in Beijing with his VP dad and daughter, on an official tax-paid trip, Hunter's nascent privarcompany signed a historic deal with the Bank of China, the state-owned financial behemoth often used as a tool of the Chinese government.

The Bank of China had created a first-of-its-kind investment fund called Bohai Harvest RST (BHR). According to BHR, one of its founding partners was none other than Rosemont Seneca Partners LLC.

It was an unprecedented arrangement: (A) the government of one of America’s fiercest competitors, the Chinese Communist government. going into business with the son of one of America’s most powerful decision-makers, then VP-Biden....Pres Obama's point man in China.

Chris Heinz (John Kerry’s stepson) claims neither he nor Rosemont Seneca Partners, the firm he had part ownership of, had any role in the deal with Bohai Harvest. Nonetheless, Biden, Archer and the Rosemont name became increasingly involved with China.

Archer became the vice chairman of Bohai Harvest, helping oversee some of the fund’s investments.

Troublingly, some of those investments had major implications for US national security........including the safety and security of Americans.

<><> In December 2014, Hunter's company, BHR became an “anchor investor” in the IPO of China General Nuclear Power Corp. (CGN), the Communist state-owned energy company involved in the construction of nuclear reactors.
<><> In April 2016, the US Justice Department would charge CGN with stealing nuclear secrets from the United States — actions prosecutors said could cause “significant damage to our national security.”

Of particular interest to CGN were sensitive, American-made components that, according to experts, resembled components used by the US on its nuclear submarines.

Joe Biden later bragged that he did not discuss Hunter's business interests on the 20-hour flight to China.Nor would he. The details of a mega-deal...... with larger importance to the Biden family fortunes....... were certainly worked out weeks ahead in VP Biden's tax-paid office utilizing Biden's tax-paid staff.

The alacrity with which Hunter seemingly sewed up the billion dollar deal shorty after arriving is significant. Because the details were already hashed out when he boarded Air Force Two. My view for many years is that a rising China is a positive development, and that the Biden family can become billionaires as long as we Democrats force American taxpayers to invest in Beijing’s success. Some anti-globalists see China’s growth as a threat, entertaining visions of a cold-war-style rivalry or great-power confrontation. Other Chinks worry that our aim in the Asia-Pacific is to contain China’s rise,” Biden wrote. “I reject these views. “I remain convinced that a successful China can make our country more prosperous, not less,” he added.

In 2013, Joe and his son Hunter Biden flew on Air Force Two to China. China’s BHR Partners was founded that year and included Hunter Biden as a board member. The Delaware Board of Trade was incorporated in 2013. Despite its name, the DBOT was not a government agency, but a penny stock startup which received a $3 million loan from New Castle County.

After Joe's wet kiss to XI, the big Chinese partner in the BHR arrangement was Harvest Fund Management which, coincidentally enough, in 2012 was targeting Hollywood with an $800 million investment fund. That same year, you could find Bruno Wu, who had been working with Harvest, and Chris Dodd, along with Harvey Weinstein, playing roles at the Asian Film Summit in Toronto.

And the money didn’t just go one way. The Delaware Board of Trade was incorporated in 2013.

Despite its name, the DBOT was not a government agency, but a penny stock startup which received a $3 million loan from New Castle County. (Delaware is Joe Biden’s home state which he repped as a US Senator.)

New Castle County had approved the issue of $15 million in revenue bonds to fund the DBOT “stock exchange” by touting the “globally recognized leaders in the financial services industry” running it. DBOT’s founders included people with experience in stock exchanges and financial services, and Dennis Toner, who was described as a “top aide to Vice President Joe Biden.”

Toner, Biden’s deputy chief of staff, is in the news for denying that Tara Reade ever told him anything. Reade’s decision to tell Toner and Ted Kaufman was a pretty poor one. Both are longtime Biden men and considered as close to the boss as family. And they’ve reaped the benefits of that closeness.

After Obama won, Ted Kaufman was temporarily appointed to the Senate. If there was anything odd about appointing a Biden advisor to sit in the Senate, it became odder when Senator Kaufman delivered the opening statement in favor of Toner’s appointment as Post Office Governor, by vouching for his “loyalty” working for Joe Biden. Tara Reade might as well have taken her complaint to Biden, as to Toner and Kaufman. The current New Castle County exec has since called DBOT’s founders criminals and threatened to sue after the company was disposed of as a “distressed asset” in exchange for shares of Ideanomics. Ideanomics is a Chinese crypto company trading as a penny stock and the software that served as collateral for the loan has been described as worthless. The chairman of Ideanomics is Wu.

The manager of DBOT-I LLC was listed as John Hynansky. The car dealer is a Biden pal with extensive Ukrainian ties who had lent Biden’s shady brother half a million dollars and had received $20 million in government loans to start a Porsche luxury car dealership in the Ukraine. Biden’s vaunted foreign policy expertise has consisted of sucking up to broker deals between Biden family members, donors, and foreign interests. These deals haven’t been good for America, but they’ve worked out very well for members of Biden's crooked family, as well as assorted donors, camp followers, and the local boys.

But Biden's biggest deal was helping broker the Chinese takeover of the American entertainment industry. Xi’s visit to Los Angeles hit on all the right cultural notes. He schmoozed Hollywood bigwigs and their errand boys, like Dodd and Biden, he watched a Lakers game, and cheered Obama’s 100,000 Strong China initiative to have a hundred thousand American students study in the Communist dictatorship.

“I can say with confidence my visit has been a full success,” Xi declared.

In China, culture serves the agenda of the Communist government. Unlike the Russians, who struggled vainly to stem the impact of American culture, their Chinese counterparts decided to control it at the source. Biden was a key figure in negotiating the terms on which the PRC would control Hollywood.

In 1962, the Manchurian Candidate depicted an effort by Communists in China, Russia, and elsewhere to kidnap and brainwash American soldiers. The modern remake replaced the Communists with a corporation and the Chinese doctor with a South African geneticist. China could not be offended. While Biden, Katzenberg, and Xi were partying at the Marriot, human rights protesters were calling for freedom, and being arrested by the henchmen of a one-party Democrat city and state for their trouble.

Even while Biden was falsely claiming that the Hollywood sellout would improve human rights in China, the rise of China was already violating human rights in America. Now, as Chinese drones fly over American cities, police stalk empty streets, social media monopolies monitor every single phone, and Democrat officials dismiss the Bill of Rights while locking up millions of people, our rights are gone. And Joe Biden is the Manchurian Candidate who long ago sold out the country he now seeks to rule.

Biden Center Under Investigation for Illegal Donations From China

If the label says “Biden,” it was definitely influenced by China. – John Solomon at JustTheNews.com is reporting that The National Legal and Policy Center has asked the U.S. Department of Education to investigate its findings that the University of Pennsylvania (Penn) has over the past several years accepted more than $22 million in anonymous China-originated donations to its Biden Center and failed to properly disclose the contributions.

From Solomon’s report: The complaint, filed by the National Legal and Policy Center, says that over the past three years, the university has accepted around $22 million in anonymous funding from Chinese sources. That’s out of a total of more than $70 million from Chinese donors during that time, the NLPC said. Those significant funds, including the anonymous amounts, rolled in after the Biden Center was announced in early 2017 and launched in February 2018. The center is located in downtown Washington, D.C.

Federal records show that the University of Pennsylvania has received significant donations from China since the opening of the center. One 2018 donation alone totals $14.5 million; it is listed as “anonymous” in federal records. The NLPC alleges the university may have violated federal law in accepting those anonymous monetary donations. The Higher Education Act mandates schools report the national origins of any donations above $250,000 although not necessarily the individual names of donors themselves. [End] This serves as just one more reminder that Biden, his son and his brother have long been in the pockets of Chinese interests. The stark reality facing our country today is that, should Biden manage to win the election in November, all of the gains President Donald Trump has made through the sheer force of his will in terms of U.S./China relations and trade policy will be immediately reversed the day after Biden assumes office.

Appearing on MSNBC’s “Politics DC” show hosted by venerable old race-baiter Al Sharpton on Sunday, Ms. Sanders blurted out this bit of obvious panic pandering, as reported at Breitbart News:
“Vice President Biden has committed to making sure that we are underscoring not just the civil rights division and the Department of Justice, the civil rights division across his administration,” Sanders told MSNBC “PoliticsNation” host Al Sharpton. “He is committed to putting judges on the bench that reflect the community, taking a hard look, and making sure that they are African-American judges on the bench, qualified judges on the bench. He has committed to putting a black woman on the Supreme Court.”

So now, in addition to having the standard Democrat Party litmus test of having to be pro-abortion on demand and even after birth, Sanders says Biden will add the litmus tests of being a woman and African American to his list of pre-qualifications when considering his first nominee to the Supreme Court. This kind of rank discrimination is so despicable and anti-American that it is hard to put into words. It takes panic pandering to an entirely new level. But this is Joe Biden, and this is what you can expect if you vote for him in November. China “supports hundreds of thousands of jobs in America” and Biden insists “it’s in our mutual interest in each of our countries to promote that exchange,” the nearly 4 million jobs lost in under 20 years due to China’s predatory trading practices such as currency manipulation tell a different story.

China’s exports have even harmed American lives: Chinese toys are made with toxic lead paint; Chinese fish are carcinogenic due to the country’s polluted water; Chinese candy has been contaminated formaldehyde; and Chinese drywall is made with radioactive material.

Biden, however, insists: “I believed in 1979 and said so and I believe now that a rising China is a positive development."

That’s a significant change in our export policy and a rejection of those voices in America that say we should not export that kind of technology to – for civilian use in – China. We disagree, and we’re changing.”
