Right. This liberal cancel-culture thing does more than get people fired. It ruins their reputations. Gen. Peay will now have this hanging over his head for the rest of his life.
We are now living in something akin to Brezhnev’s Soviet Union. If you are suspected of doing something non-PC, that won’t get you shot (yet). But it will destroy your career and your reputation.
But the Soviet elite often got a pass. Just like our liberal elite often get a pass.
