A crowd between 500 to 600 people casted their absentee ballots on Saturday.
Voters waited for nearly three hours to deliver their ballots in the rain.
This was the final weekend for absentee voting.

Voters stood in line (IN A CROWD) for THREE HOURS so they did not have to vote in person because of COVID.
You can't fix stupid.
Large attendance for absentee voting
And to think, many have done this numerous times!
Possibly. But the lines on election day will be huge. These people wanted to make sure they could vote.
They most likely had good intentions of minimizing crowds. Just did not work out.
I do have a problem with it if they missed the TN beat down however.
“People CASTED their absentee ballots”
should be CAST their absentee ballots
Blame another faceless Intern.
“Read this very SLOOOOWWWWWWLY and let this sink in.”

Good morning, commish-!
I think you misunderstand the gist of the situation.
These folks ASKED for Absentee ballots and then decided to VOTE IN PERSON.
Guessing they heard and read all about the goings on with the USPS and ballots being stolen and decided to make sure their vote would count.
:) :) Good for them!
People CASTED their absentee ballots
************
I saw that also and had to go and look it up.
Seems to be gaining in popularity.
But, I see your point, they chose to drop them off and ensure they were counted! good catch.

Ha-ha. That’s what I was thinking. Absentee? So how come they’re in a line?
In current usage, however, casted is gaining ground, especially where cast means either (1) to assemble actors for a performance, or (2) to throw out bait and/or a lure on a fishing line
Is casted grammatically correct? Cast is the correct past tense of It is an irregular verb. Casted is an incorrect past tense conjugation of cast.
What am I missing here? How can it be called ‘absentee’ voting when you are voting in person?
People have business and personal trips planned. Our economy is roaring back here in Alabama.
If we want to make suppositions about these Alabamians who stood in line, I will claim that MOST OF THEM are TRUMP VOTERS.
Mail-in voting is NOT absentee. This is NO chain of custody. You don't know where those ballots come from.
Since you know so much about Alabama then you also know that Montgomery votes Overwhelmingly Democrat.
Also if you would take time to look instead of immediately attacking someone you would also notice I live in Montgomery and am not attacking your precious Alabama.
and YES I am 99% sure most of them are voting early because of COVID. If you lived here you would know that unlike Backwoods Alabama, the majority of idiots here in Montgomery are running around scared Sh*tless thanks to our incompetent DEMOCRAT MAYOR who was elected by LANDSLIDE.
Actually, these particular ballots are known EXACTLY WHERE THEY CAME FROM. IT was a ballot drop off point not an anonymous post office, THESE PEOPLE DROPPED THESE OFF IN PERSON not mailed them from Timbuktu.
UGH disregard that last post — reading is fundamental and I FAILED EPICALLY. You were talking about mail in not absentee.
Sure, many Democrat votes will be cast in Montgomery. But Democrat voters are lazy. Would they really stand in line for 3 hours to return absentee votes for Biteme? I have my doubts. That factor alone-- patience-- is what makes me believe that these are Trump voters.
Hopefully you are right. Thankfully Alabama is going to deliver a nice win to the President and to Coach Tuberville. I just pray the other states do their part too.
