Those are suburban Karens-weak sisters-I’m a country woman-no suburbs, thanks-but none of the women I know out here are hiding, masking or living indoors any more than usual-my own cub is a suburban woman who teaches at a private school-yes, that school is open for business, my cub is teaching in the classroom and she’s no Karen, either-I’m tired of catering to these whining, pearl clutching weak sisters-they need a boot in the ass to knock some sense into them...
The problem is Trump NEEDS a lot of those Karens and weak sisters—there are millions in the suburbs.
He needs to cater to them to get their votes. He got 52% of white women last time and he needs those again.
Women vote a LOT more than men do. I think this is because we are more used to handling what I call the “government errands” (smog checks, car registration, sending off the tax return, etc).
When women vote so much more than men, and they fear the virus, this matters a lot. Here’s a breakdown I saw of fear of the virus ranked from most to least fear:
Dem women;
Dem men;
GOP women;
GOP men.
So Trump has to work on getting the women’s fears of this virus minimized.
