Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is getting grilled in Pennsylvania ever since he said during last weeks debate that he plans to transition away from the oil industry.
In three separate local news interviews in the key battleground state on Saturday, Biden responded to questions about his comment, as well as his mixed messages regarding fracking.
Look I'm from Scranton, Pennsylvania. My great grandfather was a mining engineer. So I come from coal country. And I'm not talking about eliminating fracking, I just said no more fracking on federal lands, Biden told CBS Philadelphia. With regard to gas, oil, coal all of it, the transition is taking place having nothing to do with anything I'm proposing. The fact is that the fastest growing industries in the country are solar and wind. We can move in a direction where the transition takes place, so that people are not left behind, and we we got to invest in the new technologies."

Guy lies so easily.
“....Guy lies so easily....”
Just like his Big Daddy in hell....plus, he has that “D” after his name. IF his lips are moving, he’s lying.
Solar has literal limits due to physics and is not appropriate everywhere. Wind is not appropriate everywhere. Both have environmental impacts. We need more nuclear power.
Ban fracking only on Federal Land? Obama had every puddle declared waters of the United States. Id say they can declare what ever they choose as lands of the United States. Never trust one word from those people. Not one word.
“My great grandfather was a mining engineer. So I come from coal country.”
In 1846.
Did the interviewer then play the videos of him saying the opposite and calling for its ban, as well his running mate calling for the same and ask him to explain himself?
If something drastic were to happen to blot out the sun in any location (massive dust storm, volcanic eruption, etc) we would be in serious trouble without other sources of power.
Solar is a supplement - not a replacement. Large solar cells powering the lights in the middle of a park is practical to avoid digging up or putting in power lines all the way to a remote area. Other than things like that, as a primary source of power, it is not practical with current technology.
Nobody gives a s**t what your great-grandfather did, Joe. Not one c**p. And you will lie your fool head off about what youll do.
Pennsylvania Congressman demands Biden apologize after calling Trump supporters chumps
Lyin Biden still doesn’t understand that the Internet is forever ... he’s still operating under they old 20th century rules when three networks controlled all video content ...
Solyndra - nothing but a money laundry and Potemkin village for the Democrats.
Michael Weiner called me stupid for pointing that out.
“My great grandfather was a mining engineer. So I come from coal country.
Translation. His Great Grandfather dug holes, led a Team of five men.
The tech giants though are functioning as MiniTru, where facts inconvenient to the Party are shoved down the memory hole.
solyndra is a funny one
I can tell the real story is an engineer that badmouth her product from the get-go.
Ironically a much bigger fraud that was perpetrated around that time 2005 and 2006 was the Nanos solar nonsense
They got $500 million and had nothing to show for it
Now Solyndra is brilliant product was a line focus concentrator unit it supposedly they were going to put on peoples roofs - but that doesnt make any sense
You basically want to just put the solar panels up there so the last 50+ years and you never need to touch them. No moving parts
So anyway there has been a lot of fraud committed in terms of the solar industry - I would argue trillions of dollars actually
the plain and simple fact is you can , with your own house , put in some solar panels ; batteries and an inverter and exist perfectly happily without the utility
Solar panels do work and heres the economics on them
One solar panel is approximately 300 W - and produces about $150 a year worth of electricity. Depending on cost per kWh
Many states have what are called renewable energy credits or RECs
This is cash payments monthly , for your solar panels
You are producing the worlds cleanest electricity at your house , and deserve to get paid for it
How do I come up with this number?
Do you have whats called sun hours
Lets say theres 150 hours per month average or 1800 per year
1800 hours. Times 0.3 kw ( solar panel ) - 540 kilowatt hours per year
Times your rate.
Lets say 25 c per kWh. That is 540* 0.25 = 110$. A year. For 1 panel
Right now I pay $150 for that 300W crystalline silicon solar panel
Payback - 2.8 years.
You need to double cost at least for inverter Mounting. Wiring permits etc
And the U.S. Supreme Court said "Bull shit on that." of words to that effect.
“I promise you, we’re going to eliminate fossil fuels.”
when the windmills catch on fire they provide additional light and heat
