A dispute has erupted over a mandatory vaccine program for employees of the University of Virginia Health System because officials are requiring a worker to follow their interpretation of the Bible's requirements.
The worker would rather follow his own beliefs, not theirs.
The employee, whose name was not released, has submitted four requests for a religious accommodation to his bosses' order to be vaccinated for the flu.
He says his Christian beliefs don't allow it, citing biblical instructions not to be defiled with "harmful" substances.
He "cannot accept any vaccination that is derived from aborted fetal tissue, nor contribute to the bottom line of a manufacturer who sells vaccines that are derived from aborted fetal cells."
It's a matter of faith for him.

Think about it!
Morally, he is in the right, but practically, he may want to start updating his resume package.
My body, my choice.
They arent going to call 200,000 people with non-matching signatures. They are going to count the sham ballots, the vast majority of which will be Dem.

Tell the company it is against your Muslim beliefs. They’ll quite right down.
I understand and respect the man's concience and choice. I'm not sure they needed tissue from aborted fetuses then. When I was in grad school in the 1980s, one of my lab mates wives worked in a biochem lab where they collected these compounds from placentas. The placenta is expelled from the mother's body after the birth, usually about 5 to 30 minutes after the baby is born.
At any rate, his choice to take a modern vaccine will not contribute to abortions today. Those choosing abortion today are not doing it to aid vaccine research.
I agree with the worker. Not because of religion, but because it's my body and they can't force me to taint or alter my body as they see fit. My wife and I refuse to get flu vaccinations, always have, and we rarely get sick.
This is akin to an employer forcing someone to get a tattoo or piercing against their wishes. My body, my decision, isn't that what the pro-death abortion women believe?
I think each person should decide for themselves whether to take a vaccine or not.
Of course each business will decide their vaccination requirements for employees.
The rub between individual rights and business rights in this regard will get sorted out in the courts if that has not already taken place.
In the past, before COVID, as a hospital auxiliary volunteer, I could not work between the months of November and March unless I received the flu shot (which I can’t remember when I ever got one) or unless I wore a mask. Back then if I wore a mask, which I refused to do, it would signal to everyone I had something contagious. Today, I’m witnessing masked wearers (including food handlers, cashiers, stock replacers, and even health workers) constantly touching and rearranging their masks and then touching the consumers’ items or a patient/health care facility resident. Duh!

Reminds me of the story of the chef.
He had a spoon on a string attached to his apron.
He would use this spoon to stir and taste his creations, etc.
One day he goes to pee. He manages to complete the action, but has to ‘re-holster’.
How do you do put things back, he was asked?
Oh, It’s easy, I use my spoon.
Yes, we see that all the time. Last time taking our car in for service, the worker wearing the mask below his nose and constantly fidgeting with the mask, then handing the paperwork and pen to us. My wife carries a spray bottle and is constantly spraying our hands after dealing with others and touching stuff. At the bank, restaurants, stores, see this touching of masks and noses a lot. We're not pushy about others being careless, and take our risks being seniors but we're not going to be hermits. Workers are doing the minimum in following mask rules so as not to be fired. And even if they do wear masks, they're the wrong type and worn incorrectly. Each person needs to decide their own risk level and deal with it personally, and not have draconian rules foisted on them.
Agreed. I hope businesses that require this will get sued out of existence!
The Obamacare rule that tied vax compliance to Mcare reimbursement has not been lifted. Or wasnt last time I checked. Today your healthcare is provided by people who are compliant in every regard, for cash.

And if it comes out “wrong”, you are back where you started - tying him down and forcing him to take it, but leaving his conscience clean. And there might be a “miracle” where he dies before the needle gets in.
Your explanation is the common narrative given by the vaccine industry. I dont believe it. Catholic research groups have confirmed there is a continuous flow of aborted fetal cells used in vaccine research, development, and production. This explains why the groups go apoplectic whenever there is talk of outlawing fetal tissue use in research, or in ending abortion.
Can you provide links to credible support of those claims? I would like to investigate.
I didn’t see cited the bible verses at the center of this issue.
I did read the WND article which cites the Federal law and the employee exception based on “religious belief or moral conviction.” There is his out right there — moral conviction.
