This could have been done nearly 50 years ago, after Roe V Wade and flag burning hippies inspired religious working class urban Catholics and rural Evangelicals to abandon the Dems...but the GOPe didn’t want the Bible thumping riff raff to have a seat at the head of the table....they were only allowed to sit at a folding table in the outdoor shed.... and because the radical Left did not have as much power 30-40 years ago, along with the fact that there were a lot more older, socially conservative Americans back then, who are dead now, it was easier for the GOPe to get away with their election year fake Conservatism and continue being the party of wealthy country clubbers..... If working class people of all races ad ethnicities embrace a new GOP, it will be a widespread disaster for both the Democrats and the GOPe

Which is why I disagreed with all those FReepers who wanted to create another party. The GOP could be changed, it just needed the right leadership so the top positions can be filled wth good conservatives.
