Involved parties: Michigan Eastern District Judge Stephanie Dawkins Davis [Trump judge]
Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals three-judge panel:
Overrules Davis 2-1.
Majority opinion by Judges Danny J. Boggs [Reagan judge] and Debora L. Cook [Dubya judge].
Judge R. Guy Cole Jr. [RapinBill judge], chief judge for the Sixth Circuit, dissented.
Roberts is way too partisan, but unwilling to admit it.

Looks like the circuit judge nominated by Trump to the court who banned the enforcement of the law was Trump’s first judicial mistake. Good thing a Republican majority appellate panel overturned her
Cool, switch point bounce, same time stamp. Rare to happen from my tablet.
While I sure like the outcome of this decision, I don’t think it is constitutional.
That what has me scared. All his judicial appointments verses his record of hiring absolute reprobate scumbags and loser in his own cabnet. Makes me wonder if all these judicial appointments will turn aound on us and bite us in the ass in the future! A jusdge will say anything to get power!
ED Michigan leans to the prog side a bit. Dawkins Davis actually clerked under Republican judges - but Republican in Michigan can mean RINOs like Snyder...
I wouldn't worry about that.
Looks like she went tribal on this, worried about poor minority people not being able to get to the polls, regardless of the motives of the Democrats, who would use her ruling to essentially vote harvest.
Stocking the vacancies of the Federal judiciary is always a chancy proposition.
However, if Hillary! had been doing the choosing, the Federal courts would now be overrun with pinwheels-for-eyes Lefties.
Let not your heart be troubled.
Plus, she was 90-1 on the floor of the Senate. Never a good look.
“I’m inclined to agree. Plus, she was 90-1 on the floor of the Senate. Never a good look.”
A vote like that doesn’t necessary make her bad, but she did get her start under Obama, which is certainly a bid sign. It could be that Trump’s priority was so strongly Appellate and Supreme that he just wasn’t going to go to the wall at the District Court level. One other possibility is that she could have part of a deal to get other judges through without the Dems stalling.
But, whatever, it got corrected!
