‘I generally avoid temptation,’ said actress Mae West, ‘unless I can’t resist it.’ My mind turned to this wonderful quote numerous times during last night’s second and final presidential debate as I watched Donald Trump’s face. Time and again, I could tell he was itching to take the gloves off and start ranting abusively and personally at his opponent Joe Biden, as he had done in the first debate. But to my astonishment, instead of succumbing to his basest instincts, Trump pursed his lips, screwed up his cheeks, grimaced, scowled and, for the most part, avoided temptation. Instead of the ranting, deluded, narcissistic buffoon we got last time, this was a far calmer, measured, focused, well-prepared, non-scary and even empathetic performance by the president. We saw a new, tamer Trump and I liked it as much as I was surprised by it. So did others.

Biden’s been posing as a moderate. Last night it was plain to see he is no moderate.

I’m just glad a BRIT feels Trump won the debate and suggests (for a liberal foreigner, this is big) Trump will also pull off the election. Keep in mind, the mass media in Europe hate him as much as the liberal media here. Piers saying these things is like when a Hollywood actor/actress comes out in favor of the president. They are black listed....

I sure hope so! My wish is Trump wins at the polls by such a landslide it’s clear if ever mail in vote was for Biden it wouldn’t make any difference whatsoever.

Trump did something last night I had been hoping and praying for someone to do to Biden for ages. On the China question, Biden totally ignored the question and went into his folksy spiel about being a “good old blue collar boy from the streets of Scranton, who just cares about you, the voter.” When he finished Trump immediately called him out and said, (Paraphrasing) “See that was a typical politician’s answer, when you don’t like the question you go into a nice sounding prepared spiel. Biden looked dumbfounded and didn’t really do it again the rest of the debate.

His articles are just weird. Sometimes I think Morgan a closet conservative - or at least a moderate - but for some reason he always feels the need to throw in liberal talking points.
Morgan: Trump was empathetic. But of course he’s a buffoon, too.
