Look, I’m as aware as anybody that the Cuyahoga River in Ohio actually caught fire in 1971. But does Joe expect people to believe that Scranton was full of greasy windows and oil problems???

I was 4 in 1971. I don’t recall any genuinely greasy windows at any time during my childhood, even though Mom smoked and the air was much more polluted in general than it is now.

Read the actual facts behind the River fire. People are ignorant as to how that fire started and it had nothing to do with pollution in a general sense. It had to do with treating wooden training trestles with oil and the run off was what caught on fire because the trestles had been recently coated. It has been a Democrat talking point ever since and nobody takes the time to actually analyze what really occurred. I had to do a report on it and use it to demonstrate how groups push narratives to create public policy.
