Dr. Anthony Fauci is not a politician at least, not in the elected sense. He had to have a certain kind of political skill to get to be the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. But daily interactions with the media wasnt in the job description.
But the good doctor is learning. Hes learning how to say a lot without saying anything. This is especially true about controversial subjects like social distancing during demonstrations involving radical groups like Black Lives Matter or antifa.
To you and me, its not controversial. Except Fauci heavily criticized Donald Trump for the Rose Garden press conference introducing Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett. It became a supersreader event, which I guess the media defines as any Trump event where more than one person gets sick from the coronavirus.
Political demonstrations by radicals, riots, marches these are probably superspreader events too, but strangely, no one appears to be keeping track of how many participants in these marches get sick. I wonder why that is?
Fauci was asked by the Washington Examiner whether the Womens March last weekend, where thousands of people made a hash of DCs social-distancing law by crowding together to demonstrate against Donald Trump. Was it a superspreader event?
He didnt deign to reply. Washington Examiner:
Thousands of people gathered in D.C. on Saturday to protest against Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett and President Trump.
Fauci, however, has not condemned the gathering for breaking coronavirus health guidelines on social distancing after a request for comment from the Washington Examiner.
But Fauci made headlines Sunday for again condemning an event held at the White House last month when Trump announced the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.

LOL, his wife was probably there.
Fauci is a politician. Very political.
36 years in DC in the same appointed position.
Are there really “thousands”? Because 2,000 is “thousands. To the media, 7 is thousands if it’s a lib event.
He’s a fake. He’s a court jester, careful about what he says lest he get kicked out of his job.
Thank You, Washington Examiner!
To my recollection this is the FIRST time anybody not named Jim Jordan or Rand Paul has asked Fauci a challenging question.
Of course it’s not a super spreader event.
Only events involving Trump or Republicans or conservatives are super spreader events.
Similar events, with crowds of people, often maskless, are not super spreaders as long as done in support of some liberal cause of the day.
Con man Fauci is not only a hypocrite, he’s a criminal who needs to be charged for his crimes of sedition.
Leftists are instinctively party line Politically Correct. Anything that hints of being true, conservative, or against the prevailing Democrat narrative is repulsive to them. I call it their truthdar! Similar to a straight mans gaydar, this sixth sense for Democrats prevails against all other senses.
“36 years in DC in the same appointed position.”
Perhaps it is time to have a mandatory age 65 or age 70 retirement age for bureaucrats.
