Columbia report: US could have avoided 130,000 COVID deaths with better response

Like not putting Covid-Positive patients into elderly nursing homes?

Exactly. I agree with the sentiment of the headline, but vast majority of the failed US response came from the governors of the individual states. President Trump was there behind all of them supporting their authority to decide what was best for the people of their own state and the president did all he could to give them whatever they asked for. Even Governor Cuomo was praising President Trump for the help he got.

But many of the governors screwed up their response so badly that their terrible policies cost many thousands of lives. Some of their policy was so bad it seems like it should rise to the level of criminality.

A new study by me says that 130,000 COVID reported deaths were deaths by other causes.

Only the US wants to look like things are worse than they really are, all the other ones undercount COVID, we count every death as COVID.
