New filings for jobless claims in the U.S. totaled 787,000 last week, the lowest total since the early days of the coronavirus pandemic. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones had been expecting 875,000.

Jobless claims slumped is deliberately misleading. When I hear Trump say that we have the lowest unemployment, I wonder how many people just hear the word lowest and think that its bad. People are very math challenged. Two negatives in a statement can be easily misunderstood. Trump isnt even trying to be misleading but he needs to say, once in a while, we have the best employment.
My son got a job offer last week. My other sons girlfriend got a job offer last week. My third son is still in high school and he got two job offers last week unsolicited (he knows how to code). My agency is also hiring
