I appreciate good spices. For years I traveled a lot on business and discovered the very best spices can be bought at a number Mennonite bulk food stores. (In Tipton, MO and a place in Kansas)

On trips to see my daughter who lives in VA, I found The Dutch Kitchen (Mennonite) in Rural Retreat, VA. (Off of I-81 on East side of the Interstate, not right on Interstate, but nearby.) They have a huge stock of spices that they package themselves. And the make some of the best Corned Beef and Rye sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. (note: I make my own corned beef and know what good corned beef is)

They also have specialty flours and ingredients too. Very reasonable prices. Absolutely the best quality.

There is an Amish store between Bland and Pearisburg on Walker Valley Rd. Bland is off 77 north of RR. We go there quite a lot while cemetery hunting.

Do you mean, “The Dutch Pantry”?
