My experience has not included anything about Mac laptops. Is it possible that they mimic the apps on Ipads and can receive messages through Wi-Fi from a linked Iphone?

I don’t use Apple products, so I’m not sure how it would work. My only thought was that you would have to purposely set it up to record text conversations.

Or just the opposite, maybe the “kiddie porn” was the real reason he left the computer. Maybe that is the thing that broke him, he is riddled with guilt over it, he wants it to stop, all of this, selling out his country, the drugs, the cruelty to children — especially the cruelty to children — is just too much to bear, and the drugs can’t kill the guilt.

Being Hunter is a crack head and sounding as if he is not that smart could have a vendetta against his father. After his brother died, Old Joe could have laid some trips on Hunter about not being smart like his brother and had to carry the water for the lost son.

The simpler, and more sensible explanation is that he’s a messed up drug addict who makes messes and up to now has been cleaned up after.

Yes, addicts do things like that. I certainly don't think he deliberately wanted the laptop to be found. I am forever losing things and forgetting about them. If I were high most of the time and rich enough not to care much about what I lost it would be much worse. If we have to speculate about some hidden motive it may be that he had self-destructive tendencies that he wasn't aware of, not that he was trying to bring down his father.
