A Bizarre and Revealing Biden Interview (from 1974)
National Review ^ | October 21, 2020 | Kyle Smith

William Voegeli of the Claremont Review of Books brought up a strange Joe Biden interview from 1974 I hadn’t seen before in which Biden emerges as arrogant and determined to make more money, one way or another. Biden also speaks of his first wife Neilia, who had died two years earlier, in unusually frank ways: His Senate office was then something of a shrine to her, decorated with dozens of pictures including a large one of her tombstone, and he spoke about her for three hours.

“Let me show you my favorite picture of her,” he told Kitty Kelley, holding up a picture of Neilia in a bikini. “She had the best body of any woman I ever saw. She looks better than a Playboy bunny, doesn’t she?” He also said Neilia was a conservative Republican when they met but became a Democrat and that “at first she stayed at home with the kids while I campaigned but that didn’t work out because I’d come back too tired to talk to her. I might satisfy her in bed but I didn’t have much time for anything else.” He exclaimed, “Neilia was my very best friend, my greatest ally, my sensuous lover. The longer we lived together the more we enjoyed everything from sex to sports. Most guys don’t really know what I lost because they never knew what I had. Our marriage was sensational.”

Another weird detail is that Biden referred to Neilia as “my beautiful millionaire wife.” Biden brings up money repeatedly: Kelley alludes to “the temptation to sell out to big business or big labor for financial help” because Biden admitted “that more than once he was tempted to compromise to get campaign money.”

This is really inappropriate and weird language to use even if your wife is alive. Weirder still if she's dead.

Yes it is.

In the 70’s this was considered cool or cutting edge but it was only ever creepy.

Now I’m wondering if his late wife drove out in front of that semi on purpose...

The man is a narcissistic sociopath. He says the things without a filter because he wants people to believe him and to like him. He talks about sex and money because those bring him the most pleasure and he most likely thinks everyone around him wants to hear his stories or thinks like him.

When he is challenged he lashes out because that is a direct affront to his narcissism.

His sociopathology

Joe Biden is just .......... strange. It's beyond obvious.

Well, the revelations about Hunter Biden sure won't be helping Joe Biden in this particular area:

Great point--the best debating tactic with such a person is something like this:

"The American people _know_ you are a crook. You cannot fool us. Your mass media censors cannot hide the truth. We _know_."

That would send Biden into a blind rage, because he could not tolerate the idea that everyone does not love him.

Too creepy for words. Maybe he was trying to throw people off the scent of Jill’s being around. Jill and her Ex worked Biden’s campaign a few months before Neilia drove in front of that truck. For some reason, Joe and Jill pretend they met a couple of years later.
