The problem with his analysis is that urban environments increases contact between people. Good and bad.

We all know about the bad. But the good means increased opportunities and incubators for innovation.

I usually like this guy’s writing, but this one is pretty one-dimensional.

Cities will always be hubs of innovation, learning, and wealth; but the productivity of those things is definitely not what it once was in the US.

It simply isn’t possible to “go back” to a decentralized economy.
