Were you to be presented a similar situation, with such drastic national security implications, an unhinged/uncooperative media, and a presidential election hanging in the balance, what would you do? Seriously asking because I too question if the Chinese water torture method Rudy and Bannon are executing is the right way, but honestly don’t know. If they gave all the goods at once, would it pass the non-existent media cycle even more quickly?
My understanding is they're waiting to launch most of it until 10 days out from Nov. 3.
Plus - it takes a long time to catalog everything and pin all the pieces together.
Yes, but! This is a scenario unlike any other. I think Rudy is trying to thread this needle very carefully. We have seen the reaction by the press and their go-to experts. These 50 former intel people signing off on Russia! Russia! They’ve dug their hole and NOW the feds say, nope- no Ruskies. So the press and other experts are crashing on their “theory”. Discredited. Sets the stage for the facts.
This is a monumental scandal. In the middle of a covid craze, 2 weeks before Election Day. If he dropped everything it could all be swept up by the opposition. This way, the public has a chance to get used to it- and VOTE! I think it’s a smart strategy. A wholesale dump - we would miss details that build the story.
PLUS- Congress gets involved, lots of helpful soundbites from D.C. The left’s arguments start to sound hollow- because they ARE.
