That’s what the silence button is for - to stop DJT from going on about some not-approved topic (like foreign policy) and to shut him up when Bidet interrupts. Its not ‘his 2 minutes’, its the moderators and Bidet’s when he interrupts.

Nope - he will use his time to bring up that which the commission “moderator” won’t bring up.
We need to start having REAL Presidential debates rather than these phony made for TV BS ones. Why is there a need for a moderator at all? Who moderated the Lincoln-Douglas debates? Just let the candidates go out and talk about whatever they see fit. Let them ask questions directly to each other. If it turns into a free for all, so be it; let the voters decide who’s to blame and vote accordingly.
Barring that, why can’t we have co-moderators? Drop this BS pretense that the moderator is unbiased and just let each candidate pick a co-moderator. The moderator picked by the GOP candidate would ask ALL questions directed to the Dem candidate and vice-versa. I have no problem with a hostile moderator asking our candidate tough questions, but the Dem candidate should get similar treatment. Also, if they’re going to mute mics then the ones that should be muted are the moderators’ mics when they aren’t asking questions. The debate should be about what the candidates have to say, not the moderators.

Why don’t they have Lincoln-Douglas debates? Because the Democrats could not cheat by getting the questions in advance, and would not have biased moderators (cheerleaders) to cover for them as always happens, most famously with Candy Crowley destroying Romney with her lies which she managed to make look authoritative to help Obama. And don’t forget Donna Brazille giving Hillary the questions in advance. The democrats need to cheat to win debates and at the ballot box!
