The Supreme Court on Monday shut down a GOP-led effort to block an extended period for counting ballots in the crucial presidential swing state of Pennsylvania.
Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the high court's three liberals, resulting in a 4-4 tie. Justices Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh sided with the state GOP.
In the event of a 4-4 deadlock, the lower court ruling is affirmed and upheld. In this case, a ruling that favored state Democrats won out.
The court is not at full capacity and was forced to issue a ruling with only eight justices, due to the vacant seat left behind by the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, which is expected to be filled by President Trump's nominee Amy Coney Barrett.
The ruling means that Pennsylvania will be able to accept and count ballots up to three days after the Tuesday election, until Friday, Nov. 6.
For these kinds of time-sensitive appeals, a 4-4 tie by the U.S. Supreme Court means the state court ruling that favored the state’s Democrats is upheld.
This news comes on the same day that the High Court announced it would hear key cases related to Trump's immigration policies.
One case involves the Trump administration's "Remain in Mexico" asylum policy, and the other deals with funding for the wall being constructed on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Roberts has shown time and again that he doesn’t want to be decisive vote if it results in conservative victory. He is fine with giving final vote to liberals.

You’re not getting the stunning significance of the DemoKKKrats’ VBM failure here. By doing VBM, they took away all chance at fraud, not the opposite.
You watch: once ACB is on the court and his stupid vote doesn’t matter, he’ll be a “solid conservative.”

Unfortunately, that decision lost for Pennsylvania unless the GOP is clear by at least 100,000 votes at the end of Election Day, possibly 150,000 if the Dems have created a more efficient method of creating fraudulent votes. Here is how they do this:
1. The Dems have a list of every registered Democrat in the state.
2. The Dems find out all of the Democrats who voted by Election Day through absentee ballots and voting in the booths. Absentee ballots are different from mail-in ballots as they have more security features than unsolicited mail-in ballots.
3. The Dems create as many Democrat votes they need to overtake the Republicans through easily-counterfeited ballots. In Pennsylvania, there are usually about 500,000 registered Democrats who haven’t voted, so they can probably get up to half of them printed up within a day.
4. Since Pennsylvania doesn’t require signature validation, which was the only place where a voting monitor could at least determine if a signature is fake or not, that makes it impossible for the ballot to be verified. And since the ballots are MAILED in using NON-STAMPED envelopes, there is no ability to even have an audit trail to find with regard to the mailing process.
Bottom line: Roberts just handed Biden to Pennsylvania.

It’s a subtle difference, but I get the sense doesn’t necessarily side with Lefists, but rather bends over backwards not to offend them too much, even if that means setting that pesky Constitution aside from time to time.
With three or four liberals on the court, Roberts will always opine with them on significant issues. As the chief he can opine last, so he knows whose opinions have been rendered by the other seven (without RGB/ACB) or eight (with RGB/ACB).
And yes, with ACB on the court, Roberts will now probably side WITH the constitutional wing of the court, so he can give the main opinion at 6-3, in which he will “dissent within the consensus” to provide cover for future Democrat challenges. Probably Thomas and Gorsuch will also give opinions which are more strongly and appropriately worded, but since Roberts is the Chief, his opinion matters most.
I’ll be blunt: Had RBG survived, Roberts would have sided with her and the other three liberals on EVERY court decision involving elections. This would have been catastrophic, as virtually every election-related suit would have resulted in ruling in favor of Biden/Democrats, and have been binding to ALL other courts.
Since RBG didn’t survive, the court is temporarily 4-4, which means that Roberts will always side with the libs for any election issue. The only saving grace is that the decision is a split, which pushes the immediate decision back down to the circuit court. Unfortunately, this allows Pennsylvania’s fraudulent vote scheme to go on. (There **MAY** be a chance that even if the fraud vote scheme finds enough votes to overtake Trump, there could be a court case to try to dismiss some of those ballots based on certain irregularities, at which point ACB may be on the court to give the crucial 5th vote. Unfortunately, the way the Dems have framed the vote count scheme, this is extremely unlikely to detect fraud that is actionable in challenge.)
But the REAL challenges will be when states like Michigan, Wisconsin, and maybe even North Carolina, whose governors control the electoral vote process, refuse to certify Republican wins and withhold the electoral votes going for Trump. If the lack of electoral votes push him down to 269 or less, then the court would have had to make a decision on whether Trump would have been able to get those electoral votes through any reasonable process. Without ACB on the court, it would be likely that Roberts would rule that the votes are indeed invalid, pushing the decision to Congress. And THAT’S another ball of wax that won’t be pontificated here.
Suffice to say that ACB will most probably not let this chaos to prevail. Look for a 6-3 decision in favor of Trump on those issues, provided the Democrats can’t win with legitimate votes.
