Beach Boys splinter over politics again as Brian Wilson repudiates Trump fundraiser

I tend to view Brian Wilson as being like Paul Simon.

Paul’s songs sound best when performed by someone else, like Art Garfunkel.

Brian’s songs sound best when performed by someone else, like his daughter Carnie Wilson, who does an amazing rendition of Good Vibrations with her sister as a part of Wilson Philips.

All the background music is probably why Pet Sounds is in the top of pop musical accomplishments. I literally grew up with the Beach Boys just one suburb over, and to this day love their harmonies.

I think the music was basically done by the wrecking crew, a famous group of studio musicians in LA. As far as the harmonies, fantastic. And in general they were a great band.

We have a large backyard with a pool....so naturally I have some pretty large speakers out there for music. Every time I’m out there working or doing something and my Best of the Beach Boys comes on I can hear my neighbors in their yard singing along. Everyone knows the words.
