Being as Canada is part of NATO, and an attack on one is attack on all, why would the Chicoms, risk averters as they are, do such a thing?

I don’t think a bunch of Red Army people running around the Canadian forest without MAJOR weapons and aircraft is going to be very effective.
Maybe bait is a better term for them. There’s also a ton of Air National Guard A-10s, F-16s and F-15s up there, too.
