Trump knows Barr is crooked. He also knows that Barr is deliberately trying to run out the clock and protect the Deep State. President Trump regularly screams his frustrations from the Twitter rooftops.
If the President is reelected, I would hope he would then fire Barr. But his replacement would be Attorney General #4 (Sessions, Whitaker (acting), Barr, and whoever he would nominate).
Who would have the courage (political and otherwise) to go after the corrupt FBI? Who would actually fire massive numbers of DOJ employees? The Dept of Injustice is infested with Democrats. Former Speaker Gingrich pointed out that 96% of DOJ employee donations went to Hillary in 2016.
I don't know the answer. Perhaps (again if Trump wins in November) the only answer is radical action (i.e. appointing a military judge to oversee the corrupt DOJ).
Thank you for taking the time to give me such a detailed response.
First, An Attorney General must be appointed? It makes sense I suppose but it’s like everything needs appointing and so much delay.
Second, why would it take great courage to deal with those Keystone Kops known as the FBI?
President Trump has spent four years dealing with nasty people and they all get away with it.
Frankly I liked Barr, thought he did a great job testifying before congress.
I am just so confused and wonder where my country went.
What was wrong with Whitaker anyway? He could return.
