"You can pay me now, or you can pay me later"
Wonder how it’s going in Sweden, in contrast.
In looking at the numbers, much of Europe has a greater infection rate in the past few days than the US. In some cases, a much greater rate. These also include France, UK, Belgium, Netherlands, even Switzerland. It seems that the virus spreading will respond to the level of precautions taken (masks, shutdowns, etc.)...so countries lose either way.
Sweden’s still looking good:

It’ll be interesting to see how Norway, Denmark, and Finland do. They’re in sort of the same boat as the Czechs. They locked down and mostly avoided the first wave but may be at risk of getting hit by the second one.
Did they just hold a Trump rally in Prague this week or something? I kid of course, but it shows how insular our COVID discussions can get during a presidential election. Every once in a while we need to take note of developments overseas.
I don’t believe a word of this. Something else is happening. The Czech Republic would be a perfect place, full of chaos, to claim that the Rona is killing people.
Thanks for the report from the ground.
This is probably not far from the truth.
it seems the biggest hospital disasters are when your hospital workers get infected.
other than new york, we have been fmgood at keeping thecworkers from getting and transmitting, which keeps hospitals open.
