WASHINGTON — Federal investigators are examining whether the emails allegedly describing activities by Joe Biden and his son Hunter and found on a laptop at a Delaware repair shop are linked to a foreign intelligence operation, two people familiar with the matter told NBC News.
The FBI seized the laptop and a hard drive through a grand jury subpoena. The subpoena was later published by the New York Post. The bureau has declined to comment.

Many commentators have said it is hard to believe that Hunter Biden would abandon a Mac laptop full of incriminating information at a repair shop.
Some have speculated that the material could have been hacked from Hunter Biden’s accounts and put on the laptop as a cover story to offer a plausible explanation of how the material became public
If they had debunked it, then the Bidet campaign would have been notified, and would have ready answers to refute it. Instead, they're circling their wagons.
It was shocking to hear Giuliani tell Tucker tonight that he does not have a copy of the drive, has not seen some of the emails he’s alleging. This is potentially really bad, though Giuliani likes talking, he is setting Trump up. I also object strongly to him claiming he will release other things laterrather than coming clean now. Lots of promises.
Riiiight. And they found a perfect Hunter double to make the illicit crack smoking and sexcapades videos to ‘appear’ like it was Hunter.

It is had to believe a guy will screw his brother's wife right after his brother dies, especially when he had a wife himself at the time.
It is hard to believe a guy will smoke crack cocaine when he was in the military, knowing that it will get him dishonorably discharged and embarrass the government.
Its hard to believe a guy will knock up a stripper while still sleeping with his brother's wife and just a few weeks before he knocks up some South African woman, and then proceed NOT to pay child support when the stripper has a baby, and then allow the case to be drgagged through the courts, despite his dad being the Vice President of the Undited States.
Hunter Biden did all the above.
Is it credible that a drugged out Hunter Biden will leave his laptop somewhere and totally forget about it? You bet.
For example, I might know a former drinker, may those days remain in his past :-), who dropped off a computer for repair, didn't have time to wait for it to be fixed because he needed one for his business, so just bought a new one figuring on using the old one as a backup, forgot about it, went to get it a couple months later, and it was gonzo because it's not a repair shop's job to store every negligent dope's computer for 10 years.
So if a comparatively mild former boozehound did it, you can take it to the bank that Biden did it.

The only problem with their narrative is it wouldn’t be seized pursuant to a Grand Jury subpoena. The subpoena would have to deal with an ongoing investigation the grand jury was empaneled for.

The drug addict Biden? The Biden that left a crack pipe and his dead brother's badge in a rental car? The Biden that got a stripper pregnant? The Biden that was kicked out of the Navy for doing drugs? But forgetting you dropped off a laptop is "hard to believe"?

Watch Tucker, it was embarrassing. Definitely should raise a red flag about all of this.
