Cruz-Owens 2024?
I like Cruz - had to switch gears from him to Trump - but it has to be said that if Trump wins this year, 2024 will be Pence’s for the taking.

And I still have trouble believing that Trump does not win.

VP is political heir of the president - and heirs of two-term presidents just naturally get the nomination. Add to that the fact that Pence is a shooting star who attained national office within four years of attaining statewide office - and that his statewide office was the executive of the state, the governor - and you have a strong contender not only to be nominated but to win.

It’s hard to win the presidency as sitting VP, granted - but it’s hard to win 3 terms in a row, period.

Thing is, senator or vp is not an executive position - and governor is. Unless the Democrats name an up-and-coming governor, Pence would be a favorite for election to POTUS .
