Drug addicts do stupid things all the time—like dropping off a laptop (with lots of compromising information) at a repair shop and forgetting to pick it up.

This question came to me when I first heard about the story.
Why would anyone take any computer to a repair shop when they have to know that evidence of crimes are on their own hard drive?
Kinda like a pedophile sending pix of little kids involved in sex acts to a lab for development.
They do it, but no one knows why, maybe crack is the real answer.
