Where in the U.S. Constitution is that stated?

They can be from the same state, but only one of them can win the electoral votes from that state, so in practice it never happens that two people from the same state are nominated. I could be wrong about that. It’s too late to look things up.

Article II and Amendment XII both say:”The Electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves”.
