“The vac won’t be effective”
Operation Warp Speed was designed to subsidize two major efforts, in each of four different technical approaches (8 in total), to ensure the likelihood of getting some good ones. They carefully picked the four technical approaches as well, to maximize the likelihood of success.
That is just the US Government program. Over a hundred development efforts are underway worldwide.
The Russian (Sputnik V) one that has already been approved (in Russia) and has been shipping for over a month, seems quite safe, and effective (although not strongly effective - something like 50%).
Bottom Line: We are virtually certain of having vaccines that work, in the next few weeks or months.
Right now though we have therapeutics that are very successful!!
Not with an Rna virus.. it just makes copies without the dna mechanism. I am sure will be a big money sucker for the taxpayers though. Ridiculous.
I have been around so many people that have had iui t. More of them died in a shower accident than covid.
