A new report from The New York Times indicates that experts have “genuine confidence” that the coronavirus pandemic will end “far sooner” than originally expected and that President Donald Trump’s Operation Warp Speed — the administration’s efforts to facilitate and accelerate the development, manufacturing, and distribution of vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics — has been “working with remarkable efficiency.”...
“Experts are saying, with genuine confidence, that the pandemic in the United States will be over far sooner than they expected, possibly by the middle of next year.”...
“Sometime in the next three months, health experts say, the F.D.A. is likely to begin granting approval to vaccines now in the works,” the report said... Operation Warp Speed — the government’s agreement to subsidize vaccine companies’ clinical trials and manufacturing costs — appears to have been working with remarkable efficiency. It has put more than $11 billion into seven vaccine candidates, and the F.D.A. has said it will approve any one that is at least 50 percent effective at preventing infection or reducing its severity.”
The report notes that Operation Warp Speed’s chief scientific adviser, Moncef Slaoui, believes that some of the early vaccine candidates will be 75 to 90 percent effective and that at least two will have won approval by sometime in January.
“By then, Dr. Slaoui has estimated, the factories under contract will have produced enough vaccine for 30 to 40 million people, and then another 80 to 90 million people every month after that,” the report added. “Assuming nothing goes wrong, he said, there will be enough doses for all 330 million Americans to be vaccinated by next June.”

Actually, we may see vaccines approved earlier than this article suggests. Before January - possibly even this month for Phizer's candidate, and two other major candidates (including Moderna) might get green lights in November.
I don't know if, or how much that might speed up vaccine deliveries from the factories, but it would definitely speed up the effects of immunity in the population, and allow precise targeting of that immunity among at risk populations, critical personnel, first responders, and those at higher risk of spreading the virus (like cashiers or food service).
When we get to a pace of 80 to 90 Million people vaccinated every month, the transmission rate of this virus will naturally collapse, well before everyone is vaccinated.

The local hardware store had a young lady at the register; she had on a mask about as “safe” and see-thru as a window screen, but I think it was more intended to carry all the sparklies on it.

He’s very well known to copy the platforms of his opponents that he sees working well for his opponent, adopts those ideas as his own and then has the cojones to accuse the opposition of having a totally opposite idea.
example:
1) Trump will say he’s for opening the economy.
2) Biden will say he’s for lockdowns
3) Biden sees Trump’s idea has more support
4) Biden will then say he’s for opening the economy and Trump is actually the one that wants to continue the lockdowns (and he’ll flood the media will millions of dollars in TV, social media ads with those lies)
They should have delivered medical masks to the public and made fakers put on ...NOT FOR REAL PROTECTION. FASHION ONLY.
