RE: EXACTLY....my 94 yr old MIL currently in hospital with Covid is being given dexemethisone (sp) and remdisivir...NOT HCQ.

HCQ is intended to be given during the first 5 to 6 days after a confirmed positive test, when early symptoms have started to manifest. The intent is to PREVENT hospitalization.

After a patient is serious enough to need hospitalization, HCQ’s effectiveness is mixed.

Hhmmm...well...she really isn’t seriously ill....from what they are telling us...other than issues she’s already had with congestive heart...Not one person in her Asst Living place has tested positive, and she has not been out since last year.
