Yeah, we are constantly amazed but when we study the history of governments from the beginning of time to present why should we be shocked.

Very true, which is why the Constitution, with its restrictions on the powers of government and its checks and balances is essential. Those who oppose the literal interpretation of the Constitution are those who don’t want to follow it - and thus are those who represent a threat to our freedoms and way of life.

Any organization/government/entity that can deliver power to individuals and groups, is at risk of becoming corrupted by those individuals and groups who are seeking that power.
