Man of the people? He’s a man of a dozen or so people, of typical North Korean size and weight. And to answer your question, Koreans, north or south, are tough SOB’s who might react as you infer. Tears and shame over failure are to be immediately followed by jumping off a cliff or in front of a moving train. I’m not even sure there’s a word for “redemption” in the language.
