Was wondering if it was the very same Lancaster synonymous with the Amish. Even still, if it’s a city then I am going to guess that the demographics are not necessarily that conservative as the countryside. Still, i’d be surprised if no backlash.

Parts of the city of Lancaster are inner city dumps like those created by Democrats everywhere. The rest is tourist orientated. What’s important to know is few “Amish” attractions are owned or run by the Amish. They are owned by New York businessmen who take the dollars and do not reinvest the money in the area.
We were very disappointed to find many of the touted restaurants, for instance, were shabby and dirty beyond belief.

Lancaster COUNTY has lots of Amish. Lancaster CITY, while part of the county, has very different demographics.
