I told you so, Americans.
One at the inner lobby of City Hall is a literal cardboard box with foil wrapping paper and a slot on top. Next to similar ones for late tax payments and document copy dropoffs. Had “Vote here” on a small sign. With downward arrow.
Another looks like a metal box for donating clothes to charity.
Next seems to be a former mailbox.
There is no uniformity.
We still get phony letters to my wife and myself from variations on “Official Voting Assistance Office” and “Voting Records Department” which are all from private companies working for political parties. Like the ones with tiny letters “not an office of any government agency” on the inside lower left.
The guy who made a satirical “Drop Mailin Ballot Here” on a genuine toilet in in Michigan front yard got in trouble for “confusing” voters who “might” think this was genuine.
Drop boxes are for depositing your ballot into.
The state of Washington is liberal as you can get. So there's that.
I don’t understand....you’re surprised?
Yep. It’s okay for Rats to do it, but not for Republicans.
“The state of Washington is liberal as you can get. So there’s that.”

They’ve been using this way for years, though, haven’t they?
Hopefully, they have it all settled out.
It’s as good as throwing your vote in the trash.
TWO WORDS” Deer cameras” lets catch this early , tasco 2 pack is about 85 dollars and they work great we use them to catch burglars on construction sites. If someone could hide some of those in trees at night no telling what they might uncover in the darkness.
“Excellent way to purge any votes from Republican areas.”

Except it’s California Republicans who are doing it.
It’s the same principle.
Those are unofficial Drop Boxes.
That means, the ballots in those boxes will not be accepted.
Stupid is as stupid does; no matter who’s doing the stupidity.
Not to mention, illegal.
Not sure why the GOP would want to screw over their own voters.
Stupidity.
It’s a sad facet of life on both sides of the political spectrum.
