If [Dolloff] was operating as a security guard, it was in violation of the law.

“The victims son witnessed the murder and can claim his own emotional distress damages. Non-punitive damages are $15-20 million.”
Very tragic. You make a good point about damages. Pray for the family.

Kind of hard to escape capture with dozens of cops within yards of you. As we have since learned, the cops were not supposed to be there. The had a "stand-down" order. A police lieutenant "somehow didn't get the order" (or ignored it), which is why there was a nearby patrol that captured the shooter so quickly.
They never captured the accomplice who started the original altercation.

Yes. Sadly, it is a real photograph (actually a single frame extracted from a video file) of the “cameraman” and “reporter” he was ostensibly “protecting”.
It was taken a few frames after the patriot hit the ground, dead, and instead of attending to the guy he just shot (as I believe Kyle Rittenhouse did before the mob began crying for his head) he looked directly at the camera as if to say one of two things:
“Did you get that on video like we wanted?”
or
“OMG. Am I for real on video murdering a person? Can we erase that and get out of here?”

9 News had better damn well have a copy of a Pinkerton contract."
Now 9News is adding to the confusion, and both 9News and Pinkerton are refusing to provide info.

"The local news station reported late Sunday that he was hired through another company to accompany its news staff to the protests. The station reported that it later found out that it appears that Dolloff was not actually employed by the company it used and the company did not provide additional information about his actual employer."

If any sort of crime, even a misdemeanor one was committed to fraudulently hire a unlicensed “security” guard, it could negate the insurance contract.
Insurance generally doesn’t cover torts resulting from criminal acts.
