Looking hale and hearty, Donald Trump joined Fox News medical contributor Dr. Marc Siegel for an on-camera interview — his first since being diagnosed with COVID-19. He said he was “medication-free” as of Friday and feeling “really, really strong.”
Trump downplayed his condition after being admitted to Walter Reed hospital. He said he felt he was in “not bad shape” and could have left the hospital after the first day.
The president also said he underwent CT scans on his lungs upon arrival at Walter Reed, but did not experience difficulty breathing.
“They wanted to keep me for observation,” Trump said. “You know, they wanted to be sure it was good. But … I was there for, I guess, three-and-a-half days. They wanted to keep me. I wanted to leave after the first day. I really felt I was in not bad shape. After the first day, I think I would have been in much worse shape had I not taken this [Regeneron] medication.”
And he commented on the criticism he received from hysterics about leaving his hospital bed and traveling in a closed car, wearing a mask, to acknowledge those who came out to wish him well.
“I could hear them from the hospital,” Trump recalled. “I was way up high. And, you know, [I’m in] this very fortified military hospital that’s, you know, built to the highest standard. And yet through these very powerful windows, I could hear people screaming and shouting and with love, with real love.

The President shows the way.
Lift the lockdowns, provide the therapeutics for free to all, let the able bodied population get immunity. Work hard to let the over 65 and physically vulnerable population keep from contracting it by allowing them to continue to distance and protect themselves, and also use prophylactic treatments like HCL to attenuate exposure from family. Clearly Regeneron and Remdesivir will help even older people, listen to Trump’s description of how it made him feel better in 24 hours.
Withn 8 to 12 weeks this will then be over. It will still come around but find fewer and fewer hosts as the antibodies will be everywhere in the populace. Then the morbidity rate will be the same as the seasonal “flu” viruses - HxNx.
Living like mice is not the answer.
If a vaccine works out that doesn’t have ridiculous risks or side effects, great. But it’s not necessary. Just nice to have.
And force every living creature that arrives from China attempting to enter the United States to undergo a test for the virus, not just a temperature check. And when they scream “racism!” just shrug and say, ‘you can always go home’.
“”””I could hear people screaming and shouting and with love, with real love.”””””””””
The first President in my lifetime to actually care about the people.
Can you imagine hussein waving to the unwashed masses?
I’m glad the president is now feeling strong.
At the same time, I’m very happy that he chose to cancel his rallies that were planned for yesterday and today.
It’s just too close to when he was actively infectious.
He is wise not to take that risk of infecting others
OR, of catching something in his present state of recovery.
Even the common Flu would be a possible stumbling block for 74 y/o having just recently escaped from the clutches of COVID 19.
I’ll bet someone from his Inner Circle of trusted people had to talk him out of it. Someone not afraid of being fired by the president. Maybe Sean Hannity.
I like your approach.
