Listen to the interview here at about 13:50.
He says (I quote, exactly, except for my italics comment) 'This is something that came to us out of ... ([possible oops I can't say this]) ... I don't know, I won't be able to tell you yet, maybe at some point I'll be able to report exactly why it came to us but it came out of China it shouldn't have happened, they should have never let it happen ... but they ...' etc. etc. should have never allowed this to come out to the world.
I'm not guaranteeing it but I'd be my money that he knows, had to stop himself from going further and the 'maybe at some point I'll be able to report exactly how it came to us' did NOT mean 'we don't know yet maybe some time we will' but it meant 'I can't tell you yet for reasons other than 'I don't know.'' Of course I don't think he was trying to channel that, just that he went a little too far, pulled himself back from the brink but was still close to the brink as he backed away from it and it bled into what he said.
I could be wrong!!! But I DON'T THINK SO.
Sounds to me like it escaped from a lab, or at least that what HE thinks.
be = bet, and probably other typos ...
