Our company is not the greatest; some of the worst ratings in Glasshouse; no raises in 12 years. People get laid off for no rhyme or reason, or sometimes just getting rid of the older folks (they are actually known for that.) They had recently laid off my colleague. He had gotten some contract work but I guess things looked pretty bleak. He didn't have the Lord as well.
